TomTom hasn't yet officially announced the prices for the new GO 300, GO 500 and GO 700. We expect this announcement to happen about mid-April. However, reliable sources have already informed us, and gave us a pretty good idea of what the new GO's are going to cost.
It's also good to know that with these new GO's, TomTom will use a different price policy towards it's dealers. This new price model -comparable to the one that Apple is using- has to put a stop to the sometimes big price differences in the shops. They will try to do this by only selling to those dealers that sell for a price close to the recommended retail price, thus ensuring them of a healthy profit.
So yes, this means that the recommended retail price and the street price will be very comparable. As opposed to now, where the GO Classic is sometimes sold for more than €100,- less. That should be over real soon now.
Prices
The cheapest model, the GO 300, will hit the shops starting April, for the (in our opinion) pretty low price of £370,- (€550,-). Compared to the current GO (already widely called the "Classic" now), there will be a few compromises. The GO 300 won't have Assisted Satellite Navigation (ASN) or Major Roads of Europe and will be shipped only with a power cable for in-car use. On the other hand, the 300 will be TomTom PLUS compatible.
The GO 500 (which will have Major Roads of Europe on SD) will be available by May this year for about £470,- (€675,-). This is about the current price of the Classic. For this price, you will get a 400Mhz CPU, handsfree possibilities and TomTom PLUS compatibility.
The TomTom GO 700, the top-of-the-range model with integrated harddisk, 400Mhz CPU, 64MB of RAM, handsfree possibilities and remote control will sell for about the same price as the recommend retail price of the current GO Classic. About £550,- (€800,-). But for that money, you'll also get a fully detailed map of Europe, which enables door-to-door, cross-border navigating thoughout the entire continent of Europe!

Keep in mind that mentioned prices still haven't been officially confirmed by TomTom.
