Firmware 5 ready for download!!!
Monday April 11, 2005 - It's been a pretty long wait, but he's finally here: the GO 5.0 firmware! Downloadable for everybody from the TomTom website, starting now!
All in all it's taken a pretty long time before TomTom finalized the 5.0 firmware for your GO. When CeBIT started on March 10th, we hoped that by the end of March the upgrade would be available. It turned out otherwise... But anway: the new TomTom GO 5 firmware is available now for immediate download from the TomTom-website!!

So now everybody can enjoy the new possibilities and improved funtions of the GO. Like the new planning options, navigating by postcode, to a city centre or to to a POI in a specific city. From now on you can also avoid toll roads, use the compass function and make the volume speed-dependant. We can now plan our routes with the itinerary planner and... so much more!
