Brodit, specialized in mounting platforms for PDA’s, mobile phones and other electronics in the car already shipped an alternative mount for TomTom GO since last October. Now they introduce two new solutions for fitting the TomTom GO into your vehicle. The first solution makes TTG sideways-adjustable and the other solution makes it both sideways adjustable and in height. For more info, check out the Brodit site.
The estimated retail price of these new mounts is still unknown, but if we tell you that the price of the first mount was about 39 €, then you’ve probably got a pretty good idea. Just don’t forget that, to be able to use the Brodit TTG carmounts, you also need one of Brodit’s ProClip holders.
The especially for the GO developed screenprotector by Covertec is also a novelty. This one is removable, washable and reusable. It’s also scratch-proof, anti-reflective and it protects your GO from dirt and dust.
The Covertec solution is also a bit more economical than the much praised one from Brando. Sure, the price may be a bit higher (16,5€ / £11.3), but for that money you get two screenprotectors instead of just one.
Just last month Covertec also started shipping their Deluxe leather carrying bags for the GO. (See here). We know that by now the bags have popped up for sale in several countries, for a price of approximately 39€ / £26,7. A small Google search will tell you where you can buy these cool little bags.
