TT starts shipping new GO's in USA
Thursday April 20, 2006 - TomTom has started shipping the TomTom GO 910 in the United States. Europe has to remain patient just a little while longer.
The first boxes with the new TomTom 910's have hit the shops. But the quantity is very limited. For those who really can't wait to get their hands on a new 910 there are only two options for now: BestBuy or CircuitCity. That's both in the US, of course.
It was confirmed to us that the new GO's ship with firmware 6.00 (6640/060314), OS version 1141 and GPS version 1.21. The US maps carry version number 650.1052.
Europe
TomTom has let us know that they are also amost ready to ship the first units in Europe. But they weren't able to tell us which country will come first and when exactly.
Also, keep in mind that when the units ship in Europe, the quantities will proabably also be very limited. It'll most likely take a couple of weeks after the first shipment to be able to supply all the shops with sufficient quantities.
