Today TomTom has announced the newest member of the TomTom family: the TomTom ONE. It's an all-in-one navigational solution. With it's attractive € 399,- (£ 269,-) price tag, it's positioned right underneath the GO 300.
This was to be expected: after all the competing navigational solutions that have been launched in the last couple of months, TomTom had to come up with something new also. While a lot of people tought that this "something" would be a severe price cut in the existing TomTom GO range, they all turned out to be wrong. Because in Amsterdam they thought differently! With the introduction of the ONE the company avowedly shows what they're after: market-leadership in all segments of the very popular and thus very competitive market of the all-in-one naviational devices.
Surprise
The introduction of the ONE comes as a complete surprise. We also have only been informed just last week about it, when we were asked to pop over at TomTom's to have a look at their newest device. They also told us to bring our camera along. As if we would forget!
So it's with great pride that we are able to present the first hands-on photo's of the ONE to you. Have a look at the bottom of this posting and click on the photo's for a complete and larger view.
The TomTom one should be available by this November.
