TomTom expands PLUS service
Monday August 22, 2005 - As of tomorrow, TomTom launches a new service: the JiWire Hotspot Directory. It will enable you to locate hotspots all over Europe and the US.
TomTom keeps on innovating their PLUS service: the newest addition to the package is a partnershif with JiWire Hotspot Directory, the world's largest WiFi community.
The new service allows users of TomTom GO, RIDER, MOBILE and NAVIGATOR to identify WiFi hotspots across Europe and the US. The JiWire directory has relationships with over 400 Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and thousands of independent venues, providing more than 57,000 WiFi locations across the Europe and the US.
This new PLUS service will alert users when they are nearing a WiFi hotspot or to locate their nearest WiFi hotspot so that on-the-move business people can send and receive emails and surf the Net whenever they need to.
The service is quality checked and regularly updated to ensure that customers have the most current status on this rapidly growing Internet trend.
The service is simple and easy to install and costs €12.95 / £8.8 per annual subscription.
This should be very good news for all those people that are constantly on the road, but who do need an internet connection now and then!
