TomTom GO 500 also available now
Friday July 1, 2005 - The complete GO range is finally available, starting this afternoon. The last unshipped product, the TTG 500 will also be available in the stores then.
It took a while, but starting this afternoon, the complete TomTom GO range will be available in the shops. The last missing unit, the TomTom GO 500 will also be available then. But just like with the release of the 700 last week, it'll only come in small number at first, so you'll have to be quick!
Specifications
The GO 500 is the midrange GO and is shipped with regional maps plus the Major Roads of Europe integrated. Just like the 700, the GO houses a 400 Mhz CPU and is capable of handsfree phoning. But unlike the 700, it's not shipped with a remote control, "only" has 32 MB of memory and works with SD cards instead of a harddisk. Estimate resale price is about € 650,- / £ 470,-.

It also looks like the 700 is available again, and this time in much larger numbers. Several suppliers have indicated that they expect large stocks to arrive today.
